Dr. Estape and Dr. Lambrou are specialists in Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. They have been in practice since 1991 and have been colleagues since 2000. They joined together in private practice in 2007 and are dedicated to the physical and emotional well-being of women with gynecologic cancers and complex gynecologic problems.
Dr. Estape and Dr. Lambrou were each Associate Professors of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Miami and have published extensively in their field including over 50 articles, book chapters, and teaching manuals. They have been invited speakers at hundreds of meetings locally, nationally, and internationally, including featured speakers at World Symposiums. They continue to be selected as leaders in the field of minimally invasive surgery for gynecology and gynecologic oncology.
Among the team of caregivers at South Miami Gynecologic Oncology Group are three very experienced nurse practitioners with over 30 years of combined nursing experience, who also have chosen to specialize in gynecologic oncology and women's health care. Each nurse practitioner is experienced in the administration of chemotherapy, the management of side effects, post-surgical management, as well as intra-operative surgical assistance. They are an integral part of our team in the comprehensive management of our patients. As for our oncology patients who require chemotherapy, intravenous infusions are administered in our office, in a very private, quiet setting.
Our office personnel are here to assist our patients in getting through their visits as easily as possible. They will give timely appointments and help obtain authorizations. Some team members have been with our group for many years, offering a great deal of personalized and experienced attention to our patients. They help provide excellent service in obtaining all of the ancillary assistance, tests, and results that are important for our patients' care.
